== New Mistral == Built next to the Vi’brekt Volanco, New Mistral is supposed to be almost an exact clone of the original capital. Buildings reach toward the sky with proportions meant for dragons. Above the skies of the city the Aurora Draconis appears in the night. With fiery reds and deep greens, it is like New Mistral was perfectly built for dragons. ==== Capital City ==== New Mistral is the de facto capital of the Draconic Kingdom. Although not officially named so, the metallic dragons reside in the city. From their perches they help to operate their society. ==== Hall of Scales ==== The death of a dragon is a tremendous event. To pay respects to the dead, the metallic dragons created the Hall of Scales. This large domed building is the final resting place for more than forty dragons. Six skeletons are the bones recovered from dead metallics. ==== The Immortal Flame ==== At the center of the city sits a burning multicolored flame. This is known to the dragonkind as the immortal flame. The metallics say it is a protective force which will give the dragons power. ==== Lower Mistral ==== Over the centuries the kobolds who have lived within New Mistral have expanded the city’s underground. Now it is thought that over eight-hundred miles of tunnels exist below Mistral. At this point not even the kobolds can navigate its lowest levels. ==== Outsiders ==== Few non-dragonkin have entered into New Mistral. Outsiders must be invited into the city. Although this does not stop the average explorer or thief from trying to sneak inside. This usually ends with an angry ancient dragon snarling in the face of the intruder.
