Editing 01/02/2024 -- Operation Unravel

* Operation: Unravel

* Zey is heading over to Lady Cordel’s Cabin. He tries to find roses for Cordel but couldn’t find any. 
* He walks in and sees some familiar faces and some not. It’s the whole party. 
* She says she needs us to investigate a body, we have lost two members of the brigade in trying to dispose of it. One was the Coroner, her house collapsed on her but the body was never found. The second was a soldier told to bury the body, however his body was found in the grave he was digging.
* The previous mission was the body went on, Captain Maxwell Mendaly. Was to investigate the Deathriders, his comrades did not survive either. 
* His body is place in a cabin a few miles out of camp, unguarded. 
* Koilos stays behind to speak with Lady Cordel. She stays to discuss about the horses she provided and if she could ask for a favor in return. It is to help her retain her ego and will amidst the influence of Z’s power. Cordel says to be successful on the mission and then she might have an excuse to devote some resources to the task. She is very curious/cautious of what Ki is involved with.
* Zey meets up with the mercenary camp by the Rat Races, and meets a man by the name of Luther Gorst. The man says that he finds Crow to be a sharp and punctual man that pays well. The past of a mercenary can weigh you down sometimes, and offers Zey a cup of ale to a fellow with a heavy past. 
* Alaric heads over to the Rat Races. 
* Damon goes to visit Claudia, but she is currently locked inside her coffin. She asks if he notices any changes in himself when it’s light out. He says that he feels more alive in the light, Claudia agrees. They feel more reckless, carefree, like they don't have limits. This feeling has been stronger these last few days, much stronger. They plan to meet up after the mission. 
* Bee and Koilos have a heart to heart on the tower. Bee is worried if we are doing good and if people fear her. Koilos reassures her that we are working for the greater good and that only the fools who look at us and see only flesh fear us. So we must show our kindness and strength, the things that really matter.
* We spend no intel on this mission.
* On the way, we notice that we are being followed by 3 buzzards since the moment we left the camp. Which is odd since we all, other than Varos, are in good health. Damon says they smell very sweet, like candy. We decided to leave them alone for now.
* We come across a chasm, looking down the crevice and it doesn’t seem to have a bottom. It is like a mile long and maybe 12 ft. across. Bee notices 70ft above us on the cliff is a humanoid figure. They are a large hooded figure with dull red eyes, and cock their head as they slip backwards out of sight. 
* I fly each of us over the chasm with no issue. There are now 5 buzzards in the sky.
* We hike for about another hour into a more forested area, despite it being only 4:30 in the afternoon it is quite foggy. We reach the marked location but we don’t find the hut the body should be in. 
* We find pieces of cow leather and a cotton patch nearby. Zey notices that the trees have some bobbles hanging in them and are somewhat spaced out versus clumped together naturally. Through the trees is an 8ft mound of sand with a body on top. 
* Zey and Koilos go up to check the body, we notice they are nude. They appear to be of dwarvish ancestory, only jewerly they have is maybe a dogtag, the chest appears swollen more so than a simple bear belly. 
* Around us are a lot of perfect cube shaped rocks. Zey throws one against the body and nothing happens so he climbs up the sand hill to investigate further. The chest has been sewn shut and the tag appears to maybe be made of Tungsten. It says Rathman Copermain. His mouth is full of sand with no tongues or teeth. No eyes either. He is just skin filled with sand. The grey threading seems to be reinforced with metal to contain the chest together. 
* Damon throws a salt cube towards the Buzzards in the trees and then all seven stare at him.
* Varos tells them this is official brigaid business and they need to leave, and so they do surprisingly.
* Zey begins to undo the stitching on the dwarvish man and sand begins to leak out. We start to see a cornered object hidden inside the sand of his chest.  He pops the rest of the stitches and the body decompresses from the sand leaking out and he hears a hiss like air being released. He then pulls out a book from within the man, it is made of mud. The front cover says Unravel, in common, and the image of a vulture.
* Varoz starts to prod further with his pike and feels it hit something soft. He reaches in to grab something sticky and feathery. It looks like if a fully grown vulture was embryonic starting to sprout feathers, with fluids flowing down his arm. He sees 100ft. away that something is watching him.
* The man-like figure approaches and reaches a maybe 7 ft long arm out towards us. He is mimicking our speech and even says what Varoz was going to say before he said it. Zey waves and the creature cocks his head and steps behind a tree and watches us.
* We step back maybe 50ft. and then Zey opens the book to the first page and reads the book silently to himself. “In the depths of an arcane ritual, Oasis felt an otherworldly force tugging at his very being. His form twisted and contorted, atoms fraying at the seams. Fingers dissolved into carbon fragments, skin slipping away like grains of sand in an unseen hourglass. His essence ebbed and flowed, reducing him to pools of water, carbon, oxygen, and an array of elemental remnants. A disconcerting silence enveloped the chamber as his components lay scattered—a haunting mosaic of what was once a living, breathing soul, now an eerie assortment of fundamental elements, abandoned in the aftermath of his macabre transformation.”
* Bee hears Ki’s voice ask “What are you made out of?” The creature is right next to her and attempts to grab her.
* Bee gains the dire condition and ends up losing two health blocks as the curse of spreads up her arm and it begins to disintegrate into its fundamental parts. Koilos cuts the arm off to stop it from spreading.
* Zey tries to make an attack against the creature and its like it doesnt have a form as the sword passes through. It then touches his faces and he ends up losing two health blocks. 
* It looks to Bee and says “Oh my what a find we have” in a voice we don’t recognize. 
* We attempt to run away. Zey and Ki get split from the group. The rest of the group runs into  an old lady and Damon uses the gravity magic and is falling to the right now. The old lady talks to Varoz and Alaric, asks what has us beasties all in a hurry. She mentions to be careful since a creature called Abbadon is near, this is different from the mimic creature however. She doesn’t refer to Alaric as a beastie however. 
* Koilos also uses the gravity on herself to get Zey out of there as well. So now it's just Alaric and Varos left for the mission.
