* 1/7/24 - Wax Petal - 34th Lionir, 715 AR ** Bloom is using his new power *** Hand is enraptured in iridescent light *** Pulse of purifying energy through the body *** Only has 1 corruption now ** Going to Cordell’s cabin *** She seems kind of numb *** Our supplies are very low *** Going to grove taken by Amis’ soldiers *** Go and see if we can get any supplies ** Andreas got Sheer I on his spear *** Marie asked how much worse can it get *** He does not know, we’re still alive, there is that *** Here’s to still being alive ** Talking to Philip *** Recovering *** Wants to know if we’re gonna make it *** Not sure if he believes me ** Damon sends spies to get intel - +1 intel ** Taking a barrel of oil with us on the mission = -4 scrap ** Bloom got Sharp II = -4 scrap, 1 relic ** -1 intel = 2 approaches *** Stealthy, being unseen *** Disguised ** How dangerous is this mission *** Stealthy approach = 5 ** Stealthy approach under cover of night *** Moving across rolling grasslands *** Gotta stick to tall grass *** A crow pops out of tall grass *** ~10 more come behind *** They left something behind *** Left behind some bundles of alchemical material = +1 recovery **** Heading to the grove *** Theatrical stage in the grove **** Center of stage, strange figures in physicians clothes **** Other impure parade around the stage **** The figures in the center are inspecting them **** Some look like bee **** 5 buildings in a star pattern around the stage **** Starting with building one ***** Damon notices black candle burning a green flame ***** Similar to the one from flapjack ***** Made our way around the candle ***** Made it to the building, smells of rendering fat and rotting meat ***** Inside are great cauldrons of bubbling fat ***** More alchemists throwing body parts into the cauldrons ***** Some are ladeling out fat to make candles ***** Women dressed in dark black robes, Gloomweavers, inscribing the candles for their magical effects ***** 3 gloomweavers ***** Mostly the alchemists **** Continuing clockwise **** More impure are coming out, the werewolves we say before ***** Getting shots **** Heavy chemical salts coming from the building before us (2) ***** Very secure iron doors with no windows ***** Made out of some thicker stone ***** Very solid looking structure ***** This building has the least activity ***** Building 3 and 5 have the most ***** Alchemists come and go from 5, impure take crates out of 3 ***** Damon hears footsteps and shuffling within ***** More alchemists, their movements are slow and deliberate ****** They are being careful ****** Not many of them ***** Inside is a laboratory ***** There is a rune circle ***** There are 4 alchemist inside ***** Shelves line the walls that contain ornate vials ***** Each labeled with alchemical symbols ***** They are mixing things, occasionally there are sparks ***** Filling jars with dark gray powder with tinges of orange on it ****** Think it is some kind of explosive ****** Placing them in a back room ***** Candles in the rafters ***** Left for the next **** There is another candle, pink this time ***** One we haven’t seen this time **** Blocked the candle with a translucent forcefield ***** Made him say shield ***** Disrupted the effect, preventing him from screaming it out loud ***** Placed rune of light on the tarps to block the light successfully ***** Need opaque objects **** Third house - warehouse ***** Rows and rows of boxes, crates, and tables of alchemical stuff ***** Tried to simultaneously kill two blossomed ***** Success ***** +2 recovery - Damon ***** +3 recovery - Andreas ***** +3 scrap - Andreas ***** + intel - Bloom ****** Orders to send stuff to teleportation circle 10 miles from here ****** Has the codes for the circles ****** Leads to one of marie carhowls main workshops ****** Special mission unlocked ***** +10 recovery - Talisman ****** Rolled a 6, things are falling making lots of noise ****** Howls from outside **** Running to building 2, grabbed thermite ***** Threw some at the stage, some in building 1 ***** Talisman detonated building 2 with a timed explosion **** Bloom is having a vision ***** Sees ilia, 7 yrs old ***** Says he feels sick ***** Black spots pop up along the body ***** Smell like puss ***** He needs a doctor ***** Leaves a note and go to the doctors ***** A lot of tests have been done ***** Hobgoblin dr has been their family doctor for years ***** There is a nurse waiting outside ****** Will have ilia take more tests ***** He is sorry ***** They do not know what the disease is ***** Never seen anything like it before ***** Running more diagnostics ***** Needs bedrest and lots of love ***** Prescribing 100 mg of morphine a day, he will need it soon **** Completely destroyed the camp **** All somehow still alive ***** One of the largest thermite explosions the primordial ring has ever seen *** Spent 4 recovery for Bloom and Talisman *** Spent 5 recovery, 2 intel, and 3 relics for damon’s mother
