== The Seas == The four oceans around Ramesh are marvels. Despite their water constantly falling off the edge of the Ring, they never empty. It is a problem that has fascinated scholars for centuries. The prevailing theory is that somehow the primordial energy on the Ring turns air into water which is why clouds exist. However, there are many other competing theories. ==== The Glass ==== To the far West lies the Glass. This ocean is perfectly still. No wind blows in this part of the Ring. No waves bounce up and down across its water. The ocean’s surface is like a mirror and at times travelers forget where ocean ends and sky begins. This ocean has never been crossed. ==== The Roaring Sea ==== To the far East is the exact opposite of the Glass. The Roaring Sea is always caught in an uncontrollable maelstrom. Waves fifty feet high threaten to destroy even the strongest vessels. Even magic cannot hope to keep a ship from cracking in two when trying to traverse the ocean. However, with new advances in Breoa, there is hope that brave sailors can make it across the sea in their Penguins. == Aquar == Long ago the races of the seas came together to found a city of their own. Since then, Aquar has become the dominant power below the waves. With its rule unchallenged it appears that the sunken city will remain for centuries to come. ==== Below the Waves ==== At the bottom of an oceanic trench, protected by tamed Killer Whales lies the city. Aquar is a bastion in the open ocean. Triton, merpeople, and more reside in its coral, seaweed, and anemone houses. To those from Ramesh it is a marvel but for Aquarts, it is the ocean’s majesty manifest. ==== Great Treasures ==== Sunken ships, ancient genasi ruins, and rare materials all make Aquar premium traders. Merchants from Aquar have access to the rarest of materials. This does not just include items though. The rare Levantine Whale rarely breaches the surface since it can hold its breath for up to three months. This is not a problem for the natives of Aquar who can chase these whales to the deepest of depths. Despite the danger, the price tag of ninety-thousand gold pieces per whale makes the hunt worth it in the eyes of many Aquart whalers. ==== Ocean Emperor ==== Aquar is ruled by the Neap family. It was the Neaps who first founded the sanctuary in the open ocean. Additionally, the Neaps were the first to domesticate the orcas and teach them to guard the outskirts of Aquar. For thousands of years the family line has remained unbroken. The current emperor is Empasaad Neap as of 701 AR. ==== The Sunken Pyramid of Tectuktitlay ==== At the bottom of the oceanic trench pulses the Sunken Pyramid of Tectuktitlay. The pyramid is two hundred feet tall and is pulses with faint primordial magic. There are no entrances to the pyramid. However, recently explorers from Aquar have made a discovery. The use of a torvian around the pyramid causes the structure to begin levitating above the ocean floor for a few seconds. No further research or testing has been accomplished on the pyramid.
