The second child of the Titans is Bedlam, the Dream Eater. For this Aether Eater the minds, dreams, and nightmares of people are ripe for the harvesting. Every thought is a seed of unlimited possibility. Bedlam’s goal is to eat the minds of people. Their thoughts being drained and replaced with dreams of it. Victims of Bedlam routinely become cultists with their every waking thought being turned toward their predator. Bedlam is believed to be imprisoned however their pet is free. Another monicore of Bedlam is the Spiral Serpent. This is not because of Bedlam’s actual form but because of their pet, Jörmungandr. Out in the ocean resides a massive serpent that is said to be able to curl itself around the Prime Ring. While this is probably not true, all reports suggest that Jörmungandr is big enough to cause tsunamis just by bringing its head above the water. Bedlam’s pet prowls the ocean’s depths stalking ships that sail the seas. With the inability to escape or see Jörmungandr, the beast feasts on the minds of sailors. However, for hundreds of years, Jörmungandr has been locked in a never ending struggle with the Material God Brekendahl. Their battle rages to the far West as Jörmungandr attempts to enter the waters directly off the continent of Ramesh. So far Brekendahl through cunning and bravery has kept the beast back. Yet, if Bedlam was ever to be freed from their prison, it is likely the serpent would devour Brekendahl and once again begin its hunt across the oceans of Ramesh. Nobody knows the exact place of Bedlam’s imprisonment.
After the war between Titans and High Gods, the Aether Eater was one of the few that was locked away. However, there is a map back to where Bedlam rests. This is called the Bed of Bone and Ash. Part of Jormungandr’s rib and the Titan Queen’s burn hair was used to form this bed. A person who sleeps in the bed will be able to learn how to free Bedlam. However, during the fall of Clover, the location of the bed was lost. Additionally, this script that you, dear reader, are now reading is protected by ancient script. If you can understand these words then Bedlam already has a hold on your mind.
Whispers have begun to spread that Bedlam walks the rings as a man with apathy. Rumors have it that Raymond Shivo himself has met the man. A skilled doctor working with a group known as the Earthen Claw. Surely this is only a rumor, as to come face to face with Bedlam would mean certain death, or far worse for Shivo.
