Cry Wolf

Historian: Dalton. Date: 02/17/2025

TLDR: We trekked through the woods to reach the gate to bring us to Low Falutin. After walking through it we met a mouse in a cage called Wally who’d gotten his sheep stolen by a wolf. We got the wolf to leave so Jericho and Gwyn went to get Wally. They found him, Newton, and Henrietta underneath a floating/rotating marble cube. Jericho left with Wally to get the others and the sheep.

Mood in the camp (mostly from Jericho) is still a bit sour from the events at the lake
We decide who will take what watch (going for the same order we’ve done the other times) with Jericho going first, he spends most of his watch smoking and petting Piero to calm himself down.
Jericho wakes Gwyn for her watch and talks to her a bit about how he feels about the current situation they’re all in. He then asks why she has a false arm, Gwyn reveals that her entire body is artificial. Jericho feels this doesn’t change how he sees her much if at all. He then goes to sleep and Gwyn begins her watch.
Gwyn eventually wakes Alphie for their watch (no dreams this time) and all watches pass uneventfully. Next morning Astranna asks Anja to help her do makeup, which she doesn’t typically wear. Anja enthusiastically agrees. Meanwhile, Jericho checks on Newton who is still concussed and decides to walk next to him for the day.
They walk for awhile and eventually find the breezeway for Low Falutin, upon reaching it Newton seemed to feel much better. Everyone walked through the arch with the intention of going to Low Falutin and we found ourselves “A couple of days away” according to Newton.
As we walk down the path Anja hears cries for help, we find a mouse named Wally in a cage. He says he was tricked there by a wolf who said it was the cool thing to do. The wolf stole his flock of sheep, and if Wally doesn’t get them back his people will be very upset with him.
The group tracks down the wolf stealthily (mostly) and split into two groups. Gwyn and Astranna go to herd the sheep, while the rest go to distract the wolf.
While talking with the wolf, discussing why he has the sheep, how long he’s been herding for, what he uses them for, etc. Gwyn and Astranna are spotted. The distraction group explains the situation and ask the wolf if they can take a sheep or two back to Wally to verify whether they came from his flock or not. The wolf acquiesces.
The sheep apparently have a crescent symbol on their ears to mark their ownership. The wolf claims Crescent is his name, but Jericho attempts this on his notepad and nothing happens. A series of checks are made, including Jericho casting Augury, and it is determined that this flock does belong to Wally.
While talking things over with the wolf again, he suggests that he can go get his pack leader to help represent him, Astranna reads his mind and learns he is in fact a lone wolf and has no pack or pack leader. The wolf is told that he can go get his pack leader and the wolf leaves.
Most of the group stays with the sheep while Jericho and Gwyn go to collect Wally hoping that he can help them herd the sheep more effectively. When they get back they find Wally and Newton asleep and Henrietta walking around nearby. Suspended above them was a rotating marble cube.
Gwyn and Jericho had no idea what to do so they woke everyone up and Jericho brought Wally to get the sheep, they try to hurry to get back as soon as possible.
