Overview[edit | edit source]

Lying to the West of Ardyria, Xorgaddon was destroyed in an event called the Catastrophe in 766 A.R. The continent was destroyed and now lies in ruin with the entire land mass being twisted into a caricature of itself. Only one town, Harasta, survived the event.

Places of Interest[edit | edit source]

The following are places of interest in Xorgaddon.

Site Gamma[edit | edit source]

What once was a research facility in the Proy Peaks is now a crater in central Xorgaddon. Around this point the mantle of the Ring is cracked causing violent geothermal activity. No plant life grows within 100 miles of site gamma. Animals refuse to eat. Humanoids are unable to sleep when entering the area around site gamma. Those who are given medication to sleep are routinely [redacted].

Harasta[edit | edit source]

Nestled in one of the valleys deeper within Xorgaddon. Its unique geography allowed it to withstand the doom that fell upon the land. Many people left with only a skeleton population choosing to remain.

Harasta now serves as a base camp for scientists, adventurers, and thrill seekers trying to explore Xorgaddon. This small settlement lies in what amounts to a small valley amongst a vast wasteland.

Gossamer Bore[edit | edit source]

Once the Gossamer Bore was a taiga forest east of the Proy Peaks. It should have been completely destroyed after the Catastrophe. However, the Gossamer Bore grew back. The area today appears normal via eyewitness testimony from sailors and Shivo librarians. It is suspected that this normalcy is a facade. Other reports indicate that a strange magical signal is emanating from the Gossamer Bore. Finally, there is reason to believe that local fauna are mutating with the region.

The Uorg[edit | edit source]

There are rumors of a strange city somewhere within Xorgaddon. Some say that it is built from glass while others describe it as a great crocodile thing born of brimstone and iron. Those who have seen the Uorg often suffer from anemia, high blood pressure, and pica relating to various household objects, colors, burial items, and most often glass. Additionally, all but one individual has gone missing within one year of the reported sighting.

Strangely enough, most who report the Uorg describe humanoids living in the strange city. These humanoids appear normal but the eyewitnesses are always adamant that “they are watching us even now.”

Bravo Island[edit | edit source]

The Twin Empresses set up a quick response base on a small rock fifty miles off the coast of southern Xorgaddon named Bravo Island. This island remains as an outpost for those needing help on the continent or as a resting point for ships making their way towards the forsaken continent. The island is no longer considered safe as of 777 A.R. after multiple mind flayer raids ravaged the base. While still operational, only the truly desperate now set their bearings for the island and the dangerous entities that hunt its waters.

Flayer Ocean[edit | edit source]

After the Catastrophe, the continent of Xorgaddon split apart causing a series of oceanways to form. It has now been discovered that the mind flayers have created colonies under these oceanways. From the depths their ships launch and conduct raids on nearby ships. Now though, as prey has begun to dry up, they hunt the waters around Western Ardyria.

Castle Getorix[edit | edit source]

Between Xorgaddon and Ardyria lies Castle Getorix. On a rock in the middle of the ocean is the main fortress of the Ashen Veil.
